Installing the kitchen - this is how you have to do it

When the new kitchen is already fully set up, it's all about installing all appliances and fittings. How to do this and what you should always pay attention to when installing the kitchen, read this post.

Necessary work during installation

In order to completely install and commission everything, the following must be done

  • Install and connect the refrigerator
  • Install the sink and connect the sink fitting
  • Installing and connecting the oven
  • Installing and connecting the oven
  • Installing and connecting the dishwasher

Prev Of course, when installing the kitchen, all necessary connections must already be in the right place:

  • Three-phase connection for the stove and connection cable or plug
  • Sockets for refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and oven
  • Water connections (angle valves)
  • Waste water connection

If individual connections are not available , or are not in the right place, you need in all cases the appropriate specialist (electrician or plumber), who manufactures or relocates the connections for you. You must not make any water or electrical connections yourself!

Installing the refrigerator

How a refrigerator must be installed always depends on its design. Normally, the refrigerator is pushed into the slot and fixed there with a few screws. A so-called integrated refrigerator is firmly connected to an existing door and bolted there, in a fully integrated refrigerator, the controls are mounted on the front door.

When installing, you must also make sure that the air can circulate freely around the refrigerator, so that no heat accumulation occurs. This must be avoided because it can damage the refrigerator.

Installing the sink and flush valve

When installing the sink, it must not only be fixed in the respective section, but also sealed. You can use sealing tape or silicone for this. Afterwards, the sink fitting must be connected. How to do it is described here. Ein Installing the stove

A seal is also required when installing the ceramic hob. How to do the installation correctly, read in this post. For installation of a built-in cooker, read more about this in this post. Then the stove is connected to the three-phase connection. If there is a plug for this, you can do it yourself - otherwise the connection must be carried out by an electrician.

Installing the oven

It is also important for the oven to ensure that there is sufficient exhaust air. Ovens can have different ventilation, and must therefore always be installed according to the existing ventilation. It is essential to follow the installation instructions! After installation, the oven is simply connected to the corresponding socket.

Installing and connecting the dishwasher

After installation, the dishwasher is connected to the water and waste water connection as well as to a suitably available socket. Corresponding devices at the water and waste water connection (branch) must be present. You can also connect yourself, but always make sure that the connection is absolutely tight.

Tips & TricksCheck all connections for tightness and function a few hours after installation. If there are any obvious leaks you have to react immediately!
