After floor leveling, which is designed to prevent the heat from being radiated into the cellar or the earth, the actual underfloor heating system is laid. With these instructions, the do-it-yourselfer can save an expensive craftsman and professionally lay the heating cables so that the heat is distributed evenly and comprehensively. You will need the following materials to lay the heating elements:
- floor elements for laying and reversing
- a system pipe
- edge removal material and insulating strips for the edges
- separating and sliding layer
- felling wood
- laying plan ver laying preparatory work for underfloor heating
the floor is level and the construction height, which is needed for the underfloor heating, is calculated correctly. On all edges, walls and columns of the edge expansion is made. To do this, lay the insulation strips evenly on the edge and cover them with foil. Laying the elements of the underfloor heating starts at the outer walls and windows. Each underfloor heating has break points where easy separation is possible. When laying, the installation plan of the manufacturer as well as the previously calculated distance width should be considered equally. Once the heating conductors have been laid, the pipes are laid. The work is still in the stage where change can be made and compensation can be made. So before further relocation, the area coverage should be checked and found to be correct.
The right sequence is important
When laying the pipes, you start by marking the pipes with a felt-tip pen. Especially if different heating circuits are needed, or a winding room is equipped with underfloor heating, you will otherwise lose the overview while working and could make a mistake that affects the proper installation. It always starts directly at the distributor. The tubes are pressed into the grooves of the edge structure. When applying to installation panels, sharp curves should be avoided to prevent the pipe from being under tension. If the floor heating is fixed with a cement screed, laying is easier and usually hardly a knock-in wood needed. When unwinding the reel directly from the reel, you avoid loops and twisted areas that need to be retouched and removed for maximum functionality.
